bio. The only Nor Cal DJ with a banging, U.K. sound, Dj Loud Cloud has been bringing his unique blend of banging, melodic Hard Trance/Dance to the North State for the nearly 4 years. But becoming a DJ was a rather unlikely path for a guy who has spent most of his musical career as a guitarist and bass player in rock bands and as a hired gun for recording sessions. It wasn't until discovering the breathtaking melodies of trance in 2000 that Loud Cloud became a fan of techno and inundated himself in the Bay Area and Chico rave scenes.
Amazed with the DJ's ability to make or break a party, Loud Cloud decided to try his hand at rocking the decks. After taking time to hone his craft, Loud Cloud released his debut CD, Weather Trancemissions 1.0, upon an unsuspecting public in the summer of 2002. Thanks to a grass roots internet marketing campaign WT 1.0 gained international acclaim and earned him a spot on the AfterHourDJs.org Anniversary webcast. It was there that he earned the respect of his fellow DJ's and the admiration even larger audience. In the years that followed, Loud Cloud has released eight more CD's, added Happy/Trance Core to his repertoire, and built a formidable presence online with DjLoudCloud.com. He has also spun at numerous parties and had sets featured on Digitally Imported Radio, HappyHardcore.com, KCSCRadio.com, FX-UK Radio, and 530Techno.org. |
musical influences. Being a trance DJ coming and from the bay area scene it's probably no surprise that Mars, Mystre, Dyloot, Denise, and Tom Slick were my primary influences. Since then DJ/producers like Phil Reynolds, Steve Hill, Lee Haslam, and especially Guyver have furthered the development of my sound. On the happy hardcore side Scott Brown, Breeze, Styles, Dougal, Anibolic Frolic, and Kevin Energy have been my biggest influences. |
